BOOK DESCRIPTION

The Psalms of My Solitude, Michelle Woodward weaves her spiritual thoughts into poetic form, inspiring even the most hopeless of us to have faith. Woodward’s accessible style suggests faith as a means to overcome even the most daunting of obstacles. These poems—forged in a difficult time—are reminders of how she survived by finding, in God’s word, the comfort of knowing that He is always there for us.

The Psalms of My Solitude is full of miraculous poetry based on specific experiences Woodward has had throughout her life. After each lovely verse, she includes the corresponding psalm which answered the pain she was dealing with at the time.

Woodward’s thoughts flow naturally, without calculation, lending sympathy and emotional depth to her story. Still, they are elegantly and intelligently crafted, allowing us to trust in her judgment and believe in her words. Woodward’s writing emphasizes emotion over structure, allowing us an intimate look into her once-wounded heart and soul.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Michelle Woodward is a 29 year-old woman of uncommon faith and wisdom. Michelle was born San Antonio, Texas, where she experienced a painful and hurried childhood. In turn, the pain and adversity transformed into the need to put a stop to the vicious cycles of pain that originated well before her birth, which is soundly reflected in her book, The Psalms of my Solitude, as she artistically and succinctly pens in every verse. The one constant in her life has been and always will be our heavenly Father’s ultimate love.
Her poetry became her refuge, a place for her to speak to the Lord without hesitation and inhibition. Michelle describes her writings as her, “turning herself inside out,” so that nothing would come between the connection of her and our heavenly Father. She wrote in Spirit. She wrote in truth. All of Michelle’s writings are consequent of personal experiences, visions and dreams, many of which remain unspecified in distinction.
Love has been her inspiration through the years, to include romantic love, painful love, regretful love, absent love and Perfect Love. These elements are collectively included in her book, The Psalms of My Solitude, a book that she hopes will help others to see that they are not alone, they are loved, and there is always peace at the end of each trial.

Michelle is currently working on a charming children’s book series with her husband Aaron and hopes to launch a beauty and clothing line by 2012. Michelle and Aaron will donate a percentage of their profit from this enterprise to benefit several charities.
