Beverly Hills Diary: A Journey Through The Mind Of A Boy is the story of Julian, a boy growing up in Beverly Hills in the 6os. Growing up in a dysfunctional home, Julian’s life is far from the idealized Beverly Hills perfection portrayed in the media. His only comfort comes from his three closest friends - the Beverly Hills version of a street gang - but he craves a love outside of his circle of friends.

As a young child fed up with his life, Julian runs away from home to seek relief from his day-to-day anguish. While stowing away on a cargo train, young Julian befriends a drifter, but finds that this wanderer cannot offer the stability he craves. After returning home, teenage Julian is shipped off to a remote island boarding school - could this be an even worse hardship than remaining at home?

Will Julian ever return home to find the love he longs for? Or will he remain a vagabond, forever searching for something better?

Author A.D. Grill was Born in Lima, Peru and grew up in Los Angeles, in the home of his parents, who were Holocaust survivors from Romania. Grill went to U.C.L.A. College and to Antioch Law School. Being unable to “cut it in Law,” grill went into commercial real estate only to find out that he’s not a salesman. Now he’s a writer, searching for a wife full time.
