BOOK DESCRIPTION

''Happiness cannot be found in a job, a city, a pet, or a man. Happiness is within you,'' Tatum writes.

Paula Tatum gathered her list, 101 Things My Father Never Told Me, from her real-life experiences with men, dating, relationships, working for Governor Jeb Bush, and working on Wall Street in New York City. The items are short, to the point, and offer a quick look into the universal truths women discover not only about themselves, but also about their relationships with men, friends, family, and co-workers. In no-nonsense prose she skewers the delusions women sometimes harbor about the opposite sex, and she offers smart comebacks to use when confronted with various office encounters. She even takes a swing or two at American politics.

Through it all she remains upbeat because, as she says, ''Life is a gamble, and if you never roll the dice, you will never know.''

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Meet Paula Tatum, a smart, sassy, aspiring entrepreneur. Raised in a small town, this Florida girl always knew she was meant for big things. A graduate of Florida State University, where she earned a degree in social science, Ms. Tatum had the opportunity to intern at the Florida State Capitol. This led to working as Governor Bush's aide for a year. After moving to New York to further her career, Ms. Tatum worked on Wall Street at an investment bank as a research/sales assistant. After parting ways from Wall Street, Ms. Tatum realized that her true motive in life is not to work for anyone but herself.
With the advantage of being raised in a home of business owners, Ms. Tatum began to explore different venues to showcase her charismatic personality and outgoing nature. This led to 101 Things My Father Never Told Me, as it is compilation of quotes that stem from dating, work and life experiences Paula has encountered. She writes a blog on our current economic state of affairs, www.wallstreetaftermath.com, and has started an internet talk radio show, which airs live every Wednesday night at 11 PM EST and can be accessed at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/paulat.
